My name is Ryan Bentley and I'm the guy behind the camera. I love to hike, camp and travel the world. I'm currently located in Daejeon, South Korea. I love teaching. My main passion is landscape but I'm drawn to photographing people. I want to capture the feelings and beauty that resides within. I want to connect my love of landscape with my passion of people. My portraiture style is more of an adventure and lifestyle, which means that I do a combination of posed and directed shooting to capture that special moment. I shoot 35mm, medium format film and digital cameras. Feel free to explore my site and don't be afraid to ask questions on my about me page. I'd love to hear from you.
I've always been a people person. When I was in kindergarten my nickname was the "sun-shine boy". I wasn't shy about talking with people and I was always happy. While I may have outgrown my nickname, I still enjoy interacting and being around others. This is one of the reasons why I love to photograph people. I get a chance to engage with you and capture your life in a comfortable and natural way. Photography is about building a trust and rapport together. I'm happy to work with you and create something that we are both proud to display. You can view more info about my lifestyle shoots here.

Born and raised in Chico, CA, I grew up in a mid-size town but I realized at a young age that I had a longing to go out and explore the world. So far my adventures have taken me halfway across the world and to the tops of many mountains. I'd say my photography began from my love of adventure. I wanted a way to share my travels with my friends and family. These photos are snippets of my love of the outdoors and time and dedication. I hope you enjoy.
