February 2018 - Daedunsan, South Korea
Which came first the hiker or the photographer? This one is an easy one, for me, it has always been the mountains. As early as I can remember I’ve always been outside. Long before I had a camera in hand, I’ve been hiking, camping or out exploring. It only seemed natural to add a camera to the mix. Since moving to Korea in 2014, it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with the beautiful mountains here and to start capturing what I saw.
One mountain, in particular, has caught my attention not only for its beauty and variety but also for the proximity to where I live. Daedunsan is a beautiful mountain no matter what season, whether it is a Saturday morning sunrise hike, an overnight camping trip, or a scenic day hike. I've enjoyed this mountain so-much-so that I find myself here over and over again.
The first time I went to Daedunsan was back in the fall of 2015. Over the years I have filled up several memory cards of photos (and a few rolls of film) from this mountain. For me it's fun to see familiar areas and explore new ones throughout the different seasons. I thought I’d share some of my favorite photos, and a few new ones, from this mountain.
